Furniture Care and Maintenance

Regular care is required to maintain the beauty and finish of your furniture. Please be mindful when you place your furniture. Avoid direct sunlight; keep away from heat, harsh chemicals, sharp objects, and pets. Be careful to avoid dragging when moving furniture.

Fabric

Fabrics require regular vacuuming to remove dust, dirt, and any escaped feathers. Ensure that you treat spills and stains immediately. For professional cleaning refer to the fabric manufacturers’ care instructions. 

Leather

Leathers require a regular wipe over with a clean damp cloth to remove particles which can work into the hide and scuff with wear. Creases, stretch marks, scars, and insect bites that the animal acquired during its’ life are natural traits of quality leather. Refer to the particular leather manufacturer’s care instructions.

Timber

Timber is sealed with a protective coating; therefore, the only maintenance required is to regularly wipe timber with a clean damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Oils or other polishes are not necessary. Do not soak or leave spills to sit on timber surfaces. Avoid contact with liquid, heat and keep out of direct sunlight. Coarse cleaning products are not recommended.

Metal

Regularly wipe metal with a soft, clean cloth to remove any particles which can abrade the surface with wear. Avoid contact with liquid, heat and direct sunlight. Coarse cleaning products are not recommended.

Marble

Regularly wipe marble with a soft, clean cloth to remove any particles which can abrade the surface with wear. Avoid contact with liquid, heat, and direct sunlight. Coarse cleaning products are not recommended.
